Which calculators are free, and what does Pro unlock?
Ohm's Law and Unit Converter are always free. The Pro unlock (a one-time purchase) unlocks Voltage Drop, Wire Size, Conduit Fill, and Box Fill — plus saved History with Favorites and PDF export of any calculation.
Is Pro a subscription?
No. Pro is a one-time, non-consumable purchase. You pay once and keep it forever — no recurring charges, no auto-renewal, no subscription to cancel.
I reinstalled the app / got a new phone — how do I get Pro back?
Open any locked calculator to reach the Pro screen, then tap Restore Purchase at the bottom. As long as you're signed in with the same Apple ID used to buy Pro, your unlock is restored for free. Internet access is required.
Restore says it can't connect to the App Store — what do I do?
This usually means the Apple ID isn't signed in to the App Store, or the network is unstable. Check Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases on your device, confirm you're signed in, and try again over Wi-Fi. If it still fails, email us with the Apple ID you purchased with (do not send your password).
Which NEC edition does the app use?
Electrician Calc Pro references NEC 2026 data (Chapter 9 Tables 1, 4, 5, 8; Table 310.16; Annex C) and ASTM B258 conductor sizes. The NEC is a model code — always confirm the edition adopted and enforced by your local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), as local amendments may apply.
A result looks wrong — what should I do?
Every result page lists the full formula steps and the NEC article cited, so you can verify it yourself. If a value seems off, double-check your inputs (units, conductor type, raceway fill). If it still looks wrong, email us with the calculator, your inputs, and the expected result — we'll investigate.
Where is my calculation history stored?
History is stored only on your device using Apple's on-device storage. It never leaves your phone and is not uploaded anywhere. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all history.
Can I export a calculation?
Yes — with Pro, open any saved calculation in History and tap the export button to generate a PDF report with inputs, formula steps, result, and NEC references. You can share or print it from there.
The app is a tool, not a stamp of approval — right?
Correct. Electrician Calc Pro is a reference and calculation aid. It does not inspect, certify, or approve any installation, and it does not replace the judgment of a licensed electrician, professional engineer, or your AHJ.
